As part of field monitoring and the continuous improvement of services for persons with specific needs, the Director General of the National Office for Equipment and Accessories for Disabled People (ONAAPH), Mr. Mohamed Mouidi, carried out, on Wednesday 19 February 2025, an inspection visit to the El Khroub prosthesis production unit.
This visit made it possible to assess the reception and care conditions for beneficiaries, as well as the progress of the rehabilitation and extension works on the production workshops, with the aim of modernizing equipment and accelerating the pace of manufacture.
- Mr. Mouidi also visited the new spinal orthosis manufacturing unit, which is equipped with computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology making it possible to reduce production times and improve the precision and quality of the devices. This pilot unit will be progressively rolled out in the South, West, and Centre regions.
The visit also provided an opportunity to examine the site that will shortly host the Orthopedic Appliance Fitting Training Academy, the official launch of which is scheduled for 3 December 2025, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Through this initiative, the ONAAPH reaffirms its commitment to innovation, quality, and proximity to users, in the service of persons with specific needs throughout the national territory.
