As part of the implementation of the directives of Mr. Abdelhak Saihi, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, aimed at improving performance, raising the quality of public service, and strengthening the care of persons with disabilities, the Director General of the National Office for Equipment and Accessories for Disabled People (ONAAPH) carried out, on Sunday 19 October 2025, a field visit to the Ben Aknoun unit in Algiers.
The purpose of this visit was to assess the reception conditions for persons with specific needs and to closely monitor how their day-to-day concerns are addressed, particularly with regard to the simplification of administrative procedures and the availability of suitable infrastructure and services.
On this occasion, the Director General inspected the unit's various facilities and enquired about the concerns of citizens and employees, stressing the importance of promoting a public service culture founded on closeness to users, respect, attentiveness, and effective support.
This visit forms part of a field monitoring programme aimed at improving the quality of the services provided across the Office's various units, with a view to ensuring a public service that is more effective, equitable, and respectful of the rights of persons with disabilities.
