The wali (provincial governor) of the wilaya of El M'Ghair, Mr. Nahila Laarej, presided, on Thursday 22 May 2025, over the official opening ceremony of the work of the first medical commission dedicated to the care of persons with disabilities, organized at the Martyr Zghad Mohamed National Specialized Institute of Vocational Training.
This initiative forms part of the action programme of the local branch of the National Office for Equipment and Accessories for Disabled People (ONAAPH), in coordination with institutional and local partners, with the aim of strengthening the medical and social coverage of the people concerned in the region.
During the ceremony, the wali and the delegation accompanying him visited the ONAAPH stand, where they were presented with the prostheses, compensatory equipment, and services offered by the Office — an illustration of the ongoing efforts to improve beneficiaries' quality of life and social inclusion.
The commission then began the medical examinations and proceeded to deliver appliances to the first beneficiaries, marking a concrete step towards effective and humane care for persons with disabilities in El M'Ghair.
