On the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of Independence Day, the wilaya (province) of Bouira hosted, on Tuesday 8 July 2025, an official ceremony marked by the inauguration of the new headquarters of the Bouira Orthopedic Appliance Production Centre, a facility of the National Office for Equipment and Accessories for Disabled People (ONAAPH).
The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Abdelkrim Lamouri, wali (provincial governor) of the wilaya of Bouira, in the presence of Mr. Kamel Bousta, President of the People's Provincial Assembly — the elected deliberative body of the province — as well as local authorities, members of the security commission, representatives of Parliament, senior staff of the Office, and the bodies under its supervision.
This infrastructure forms part of the Office's strategy to strengthen the national network of orthopedic manufacturing and fitting centers, to bring services closer to citizens, and to improve the quality of care for persons with disabilities, in accordance with current modern standards.
Equipped with modern technical equipment, suitable workspaces, and qualified personnel, the new center represents an asset for the wilaya of Bouira and will make it possible to deliver technical and functional services under optimal conditions.
This achievement reflects the commitment of the National Office for Equipment and Accessories for Disabled People to improving the quality of public service, in implementation of the orientations of the labor, employment, and social security sector in matters of social protection and national solidarity.
