
The Health, Labor, Vocational Training and Social Affairs Committee of the People's National Assembly — the lower house of the Algerian Parliament — chaired by Mr. Saïd Hamsi, held, on Wednesday 16 April 2025, a hearing devoted to examining the activities of the National Office for Equipment and Accessories for Disabled People (ONAAPH) and to the presentation of its development plan for 2025.
The Director General of the ONAAPH, Mr. Mohamed Mouidi, presented the 2024 activity report, highlighting the efforts made in the production of appliances, the extension of national coverage, and the modernization of equipment. He also set out in detail the main thrusts of the 2025 program, which include the rehabilitation of 22 facilities, the technological upgrading of the production units, and the digitalization of services intended for beneficiaries.
The members of the committee welcomed the modernization initiatives undertaken by the ONAAPH and expressed their support for its development projects, stressing the importance of ensuring equitable, high-quality care for persons with disabilities throughout the national territory.
